Position: Membership Relations Executive

 

Koperasi Jaya Inovatif Perak Berhad (KOPJI) is a newly incorporated co-op.  The incorporation was approved by Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia on 1st July 2020.

 

KOPJI is a farm and food based co-op that operate, cultivate, manage, manufacture, market and distribute farm produce throughout Malaysia. It is funded by the investment of its members. The co-op is targeting to recruit 5,000 members by year 2025. The plans for the future of membership are firmly cemented within the strategic vision of the co-op going forward. This is a really exciting time for an experienced membership professional to join the co-op and continue to develop the membership offering.

 

We are now looking for a dynamic, talented and outgoing young person to fill the position of Membership Relations Executive.

 

Job Descriptions:

Responsible in growing membership recruitment and provide value-added services in members relationship. Keen understanding of Membership policies, rules and regulations, available facilities and services, ongoing programs, events and activities, etc., to carry out the front-end duty in informing and serving Members professionally. Act as effective communication medium between Members and the Management Team and Committee, in search to bridge Members’ expectations.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Job Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  1. Ensure accurate processing of membership application for new membership, withdrawal of membership, absent membership, etc.

  2. Attend meeting and take minutes of meeting

  3. Generate reports for meeting

  4. Plan, co-ordinate and attend New Members Introduction Evenings

  5. Plan and co-ordinate Interviewing Sessions for potential Members

  6. Respond to Membership correspondences related to resignation, permanent membership, absent membership, death, divorce, renewal of term membership, etc.

  7. Organise membership package for new Members

  8. Conducts farm tours to potential Members

  9. Updates and maintains the Membership system

  10. Relieve Front Office duty as and when required

  11. Any other duties assigned from time to time by the Membership Manager

  12. Attend to existing and new membership enquiries and be involved in membership recruitment programme

  13. Maintain and update membership records, facilities and resources

  14. Administer Membership policies and practices

  15. Manage Waiting List and admission procedure

  16. Develop written operating procedure

  17. Attend Committee meetings and proficient in minutes taking

  18. Coordinate Introduction and Interview Sessions

  19. Maintain Co-op records and managing systems

  20. Prepare Notices, Circulars and assist in Annual General Meeting proceedings

  21. Compile monthly reports and statistics

  22. Membership projects and review.

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, management, or related field

  • Able to speak and write fluently in Bahasa Malaysia and English

  • 2+ years of experience in a sales or customer service role

  • Outgoing and customer-oriented attitude
