First project under Pertiwi

Phase 1 started

Thursday 10 September 2020 | Seri Iskandar, Perak  - In less than three months after the incorporation, the phase 1 of the Pertiwi project is now started. In this phase, the Co-op decided to start with sweet corn. on Thursday 10 September 2020, our land clearing contractor brought in their machines to clear 3.5 acres of the idle land in Kampung Buloh Akar, Parit, Perak, We are targeting to start the planting by mid of mid of October 2020.  

KOPJI is officially launched.

Saturday, 29 August 2020 Parit, Perak -  Koperasi Jaya Inovatif Perak Berhad (Kopji) was officially launched. It was launched by Tuan Haji Yahanis Yahya, the Chief Executive Officer of Perak Agriculture Development Corporation.

 

The launching ceremony which was held prior to the Initiation General Meeting (IGM) of the Co-op in Dewan Orang Ramai, Simpang Tiga. It was witnessed by Puan Norsiyenti bt Othman, Director  Perak Agriculture Department, Encik Mohamed Fahrurazi Mohamed Nor, Assistant Director , Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia, Encik Zaid Zulkifli, General Manager, Perak State Agriculture Development Corporation, the new board members and all co-op members who attended the IGM.

Encik Abu Hassan Ahmad, Chief Executive Officer of Kopji held a short session to brief Tuan Haji Yahanis and Kopji members on the 5-year strategic direction of Kopji.

KOPJI  Unveiled a 5 - Year Strategic Vision to Bring Value to Idle kampung Lands

Recently Kopji unveiled a 5-year vision to bring value for the large track of unutilised kampung lands (tanah terbiar) throughout Malaysia. 

The newly formed farm and food based  co-op will focus on agriculture development on the lands.

The plan include to bring in 10,000 farmers and investors into the co-op as its members.  It aimed to generate RM 30 million from business, creating 100 acres co-op owned land bank, opening 20 farmer's shops  and to train 50 young agro-biz talents to become successful entrepreneur.

According to its Chief Executive Officer, Encik Abu Hassan Ahmad, Kopji will also be actively looking into helping the community members without having land to benefit from this initiative by creating jobs and doing home based cultivation or food processing. 

"Already we have plan to work with Perak Agriculture Department to identify youth among the co-op members to be trained in fertigation farming method", he said.

Mesyuarat Agung Permulaan (MAP) 

29 August 2020

The general initiation meeting (Mesyuarat Agung Permulaan of our Co-op was  successfully held on 29 August 2020 at Dewan Orang Ramai, Simpang Tiga, Parit, Perak. It was officiated by Tuan Haji Yahanis Yahya, Chief Executive Officer of Perak State Agriculture Development Corporation.

 

More than one hundred members and prospective  members attended the MAP. The first board of the co-op consisting of six members were appointed.

Kopji Appointed Syarikat Ismailie Enterprise as its Technical Partner

Kopji had appointed Syarikat Ismailie Enterprise (SEE) as it technical partner for a period of 12 months. The appointment  was sealed with the  signing of  agreement between Kopji and SEE on the slide line of the MAP on 29 August 2020.

 

The signing of agreement was witnessed by Tuan Haji Yahanis Yahya , Chief Executive Officer of  Perak State Agriculture Development Corporation and Puan Norsiyenti Bt Othman, Director Perak State Department of Agriculture and Mohd Firdaus Ismail, Chairman of Kopji Board Member.

Under the terms of agreement, SEE will be the technical consultant to Kopji, providing technical expertise  in the initial set-up of  a farm in the first phase of Project Pertiwi.  SEE will be the Farm Manager to set-up the first project, train staff of Kopji and monitor the progress of the farm.

The agreement was signed by Encik Mohamad Izzuddin Bin Abdul Salam on behalf of  SEE with  Encik Abu Hassan Ahmad, Chief Executive Officer of Kopji.

Register as a member now. Membership fee RM 30 and shares start from RM 500 to a maximum of RM 30,000.

INFORMATION REGARDING PAYMENT TO KOPJI

As you are aware, Kopji has just convened its Initiation General Meeting (Mesyuarat Agung Permulaan) on 29 August 2020. Right now we are in the process of submitting  the relevant document approved during the above meeting to Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia (SKM). Then we will received the certificate of registration from SKM.

We will proceed to open a bank account by 3rd week of September 2020 after receiving the certificate. By then those we had registered to be a member can remit your membership fee and shares subscription.
